Consultation and Engagement on ideas for Bishop’s Bridge
Following the completion of the Neighbourhood-CIL funded study on Bishop’s Bridge early in 2022, an extensive consultation and engagement programme has been launched by The Paddington Partnership.
A number of options were identified in the initial study, supported by the Neighbourhood Forum, including pavement widening, provision for cyclists, way-finding, greenery, crossings, lighting, public art and sightlines to the canal.
For the majority of passengers leaving Paddington Station Bishop’s Bridge is the connector between Paddington Station, Paddington Central, Little Venice, Merchant Square, Harrow Road and the canalside. Its current layout presents severance and crossing the road is daunting for many pedestrians, even if they are not first-time users.
The consultation website gives an overview of the issues and suggestions, and includes a survey which will remain open until the end of December 2022.
