High Streets Engagement Report

Westminster Council has published their high streets engagement report following consultation over summer 2023.

In 2023, the Council launched the Westminster High Streets Programme and committed to capital funding of £10 million to improve local High Streets outside the West End. The vision is to make them the backbone of thriving neighbourhoods where goods, services and green spaces are a walking distance from residents’ doorsteps.

The first location to roll out the Programme is Paddington-Bayswater, covering Edgware Road, Praed Street, Queensway and Westbourne Grove – and local centres in between.

You can now view the results of the first phase of public engagement, which comprised pop-up centres, surveys and on-street interviews.

The next steps see a series of recommendations rolled out, including public realm and junction improvements, meanwhile activations and pop-ups, shopfront enhancements and greening.
